Josie Maran Makeup Look: Warm Orchid

Last week, Jessica gave us a great Josie Maran Makeup Look inspired by the gorgeous orchid. That look used cool tones for a romantic feel. This week, Jessica gives us another orchid inspired look, this time using warm colors. These looks are perfect for day or night and look great on any skin tone!

 

 FACE

Prime your entire face with Argan Primer Mist. 

Choose your shade of Tinted Moisturizer and blend evenly all over face. 

Follow with your shade of Concealer to cover up any blemishes. Add concealer to upper eyelid to prime it for shadow placement. 

Set entire face with our translucent Powder. 

EYES

Using a shadow brush, blend a fine layer of Embrace Eyeshadow on the lid and bring into the crease.

Using an angled brush, blend Cappuccino Eyeshadow on the outside edge and up into the crease.  Pat a second layer on the out side lower lid, blend in a rounded "V shape" to sculpt the shape of the eye.

Wet your angled brush with water, Argan Oil, or Argan Primer Mist and cover brush with Cappuccino. Use as an eyeliner as close as possible to upper and lower lash lines. Rewet brush when needed.

Add a thin sharp line of Brown Eyeliner covering the Cappuccino, to the roots of the eyelashes, for color saturation.  This will give the illusion of every thick long lashes.

LIPS

Use Magic Marker in Mambo on lips to create a bold exotic look.

CHEEKS

Again, using the Magic Marker in Mambo, dot the apples of your cheeks and blend up towards hairline. (Tip for using Magic Markers on cheeks: use a makeup sponge doused in a few drops of Argan Oil to help blend.)

Finish the look with a light dusting of Blossom Powder Blush on apples of cheeks. 

Josie Maran Makeup Look: Cool Orchid

Jessica, Head of Education at Josie Maran Cosmetics, has put together a great makeup look for us today. It's a cool tone creation, inspired by one of the most delicate and gorgeous of flowers - the orchid.

Jessica says: "...an orchid means ecstasy, love, beauty, and refinement."

 To get the look:

FACE

Prime your entire face with Argan Primer Mist.

Using an angled brush, blend Bali Eyeshadow on the outside edge and up into the crease. Add a dot of Bali to the inside corner of the eye for an added pop. 

Wet your angled brush with water, Argan Oil, or Argan Primer Mist and cover brush with Bali Eyeshadow. Use as an eyeliner as close as possible to upper and lower lash lines. Rewet brush when needed.

Go over top line of Bali with a sharp line of Black Eyeliner. 

LIPS

Use Magic Marker in Jitterbug on lips to create a washed, tropical lip.

CHEEKS

Again, using the Magic Marker in Jitterbug, dot the apples of your cheeks and blend up towards hairline. (Tip for using Magic Markers on cheeks: use a makeup sponge doused in a few drops of Argan Oil to help blend.)

Finish the look with a light dusting of Passion Powder Blush on apples of cheeks.

Wildly Dramatic Look Using the Wildflower Argan Powders Palette

Here's another look from Jessica. This time we're using the Wildflower Argan Powders Palette. 

 

This sexy look is perfect for a party or a night on the town.  It is quick and easy and looks amazing.

Step 1.

Lightly blend a soft layer of Lilac eye shadow from lash to brow.

Step 2. 

Cover the eyelid with a thick coat of Magic eye shadow and blend to create a smoldering effect.

Step 3.

Using a blush brush, start at the apples of your cheeks with Posey blush and blend towards hairline. Posey is a pale shimmering pink shade looks amazing with the dramatic dark eye shadow.

Step 4.

Line upper and lower lids with black liner and add 2 coats of black mascara. 

Finish the look with a nude lip: Birthday Suit Argan Infused Lipstick!

A Naturally Dramatic Look Using My Favorite Powders Palette

Today were combining Jessica's Tips with a whole new feature - Facecharts! Jessica has put together a great look for us today using the My Favorite Argan Powders Palette.

This chic new look is perfect for party or a night on the town.  It is easy to apply in a few simple steps.

Step 1.

Fill in the eye lid with a heavy coat of Chianti eye shadow.  This produces a beautiful deep ruby-like shade. Chianti is Josie's favorite eye shadow shade, it can transform hazel eyes to a deep emerald green!

Step 2. 

Add JMC black eyeliner to the upper and lower lid, be sure to line the inner rim of the eyes for a professional finish.

Step 3.

Add highlight to the eyes by adding Cinnamon eye shadow just below the brow.

Step 4. 

Mix Fever blush and Beach #1 bronzing powder together using a fluffy powder brush.  Blend the mixture on the cheeks, and in the crease of the eye. 

Finish the look with black mascara and berry shade on the lips.  Tip: try Rumi Joon Argan infused lipstick.
